La Liga president Javier Tebas has claimed Real Madrid might be interested in Neymar but that they would not pay 400 million euros to land him from PSG.
Neymar has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid after leaving Barcelona to go to PSG and feeling like Ligue 1 is not going to be competitive enough for him, and it seems that Real Madrid would be close to being able to afford him on their revenue alone.
“Real Madrid aren’t going to pay the 400 million euros needed for Neymar,” Marca note he explained.
“However, the numbers that they generate can put them close to being able to undertake such a signing.”
Tebas also spoke about VAR and noted that the league have watched other countries in their quest to make the video technology work, and said that they’re willing to try it in pre-season, and that there will be a focus on communicating, which is an issue at the minute.
“We’ve realised that one of the mistakes other countries have made with VAR is the lack of communication.
“There hasn’t been any communication with players, coaches, referees or journalists, but we’ve already gone to the clubs to explain the system in depth.
“During pre-season we’ll do so for a second time.”
